Gangtok – Darjeeling

Arrive at Bagdogra Airport and drive up to Gangtok (5,500 ft). Check in and evening at leisure.

Rumtek Monastery, Jhakri Water Falls, Do-drul Chorten, the Institute of Tibetology, the Handicrafts Centre and the Flower Show.

Drive to Baba Mandir and Tshangu Lake at 12,400 ft — cool waters set against stunning peaks. Return to Gangtok by evening.

Cross the mountains to Darjeeling (7,380 ft). Check in and overnight at the hotel.

Pre-dawn drive to Tiger Hills for the sunrise over Kanchendzonga. Then Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop, Peace Pagoda, the Himalayan Zoo, Mountaineering Institute, ropeway ride and tea estate views.

Drive down to Bagdogra Airport for your onward flight.
